Christine Mirabal, M.D.

Dr. Christine Mirabal was born in Brooklyn, NY to Cuban immigrants and grew up in Miami. She graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 2004, and while in medical school, she commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant with the United States Air Force. While in medical school, she was inducted into the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. She then went on to complete her residency in Otolaryngology at the esteemed University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, TX.
After completing residency in 2009, she was stationed at Nellis AFB where she ran the department of Otolaryngology, and grew it into one of the premier Otolaryngology practices in the Air Force. She subsequently was promoted to Chief of all Surgical Specialties for which she was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal. Dr. Mirabal spent thirteen years on active duty, and separated from the Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel eager to bring the compassion, commitment to excellence, and empathy that had defined her career into her next practice. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology, and got board certified in 2010. Her interests span the breadth of otolaryngology including the newest treatments for sinus disease, in office balloon sinuplasty. She cares for patients of all ages, and is fluent in Spanish. Dr. Mirabal has two wonderful children, and spends her off time hiking, camping, and practicing martial arts.
